Asbestos Project Management
Independent oversight of asbestos removal and remediation works.

When Is This Required?
While not a direct statutory requirement, independent project oversight ensures compliance with CAR 2012, CDM 2015, and HSE-approved codes of practice during asbestos remediation.
Who Needs This?
Purpose
To provide independent professional oversight of asbestos removal and remediation projects, ensuring works are conducted safely, compliantly, and to specification on behalf of the client.
Comprehensive Overview
Asbestos project management provides building owners and dutyholders with independent professional oversight of asbestos removal, encapsulation, and remediation works. Our project managers act solely on behalf of the client — entirely independent of removal contractors — ensuring that works are planned, executed, and completed in full compliance with CAR 2012, CDM 2015, and HSE-approved codes of practice.
Pre-Tender Support: We prepare detailed scopes of works and tender documentation for asbestos remediation projects, enabling competitive and like-for-like contractor quotations. Our specifications clearly define the standards required, method statements expected, and completion criteria, ensuring the client receives transparent, comparable bids.
Contractor Selection and Vetting: We assess contractor submissions against technical competence, licensing status, insurance adequacy, previous performance, and health and safety track record. Our recommendations ensure the client appoints a contractor with the capability and credentials to deliver the project safely.
Site Oversight and Auditing: Throughout the project, we conduct regular site inspections to verify that works are proceeding in accordance with the agreed plan of work, method statements, and HSE regulations. We check enclosure integrity, decontamination procedures, waste handling and disposal, signage, and PPE compliance. Any non-conformance is reported immediately with corrective action requirements.
Programme Management: We manage project timelines, coordinate between the client, removal contractor, and analyst, and ensure that all stages — from mobilisation through to final clearance — are completed on schedule. This is particularly important for projects where building reoccupation dates or construction programmes are time-critical.
Final Compliance Verification: Upon completion, we verify that all asbestos has been removed or remediated as specified, review clearance certificates, check waste consignment documentation, and confirm that the site is ready for handback or continuation of construction works. A final project completion report is issued for the client's records.
Our project management service provides the assurance that asbestos works are conducted to the highest standards, protecting building owners from regulatory risk and ensuring occupant safety.
